What are your responsibilities as CTO at aisot?

As CTO, I’m responsible for both product management and the development of our AI Insights platform. I collaborate closely with Nino, our Head of Research, and his team—the brilliant minds behind our AI models—as well as our business stakeholders to make sure we’re building the right solutions for our clients.

My focus is on delivering robust, secure, and scalable systems. Working alongside our engineering team, we make sure everything we do aligns with aisot’s vision: providing actionable, AI-driven insights for professional investors in areas like portfolio optimization and risk management.

Why did you join aisot?

I’ve known Stefan, our co-founder and CEO, since our gymnasium days. When he told me about his vision for aisot, I didn’t hesitate. After steady roles at Avaloq, Vontobel, and Oepfelbaum, I was ready for something more dynamic—and the startup world was calling.

I joined early on as employee number five, which gave me the chance to shape the tech side from the ground up. Joining aisot was a no-brainer. I get to work with incredibly talented people in machine learning and deep learning, all united by a shared mission: transforming investment strategies through the power of AI.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

The best part? Seeing the things I build actually reach our clients. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch how our AI predictions and forecasts help investors optimize their portfolio. That direct feedback loop—building something, shipping it, and knowing it’s making a difference—is what keeps me motivated.

Tell us about a recent project

Lately, I’ve been working on improving access to sentiment insights—basically helping clients understand how people feel about the markets. On the backend, I’ve streamlined how our Python applications are developed to reduce development time and increase quality. These changes may not be flashy, but they make a huge difference for our team and clients alike.

Share some fun facts about you?

I’m super organized when it comes to anything digital, but my physical workspace? Let’s just say it’s a bit more... creative. Also, as a teenager I promised myself I’d never work in finance—and then landed my first job in the industry. Go figure.
