You can invest directly via your bank or broker by purchasing the product via Swiss ISIN (ISIN number available in the termsheet). The Actively Managed Certificate (AMC) is open for distribution to qualified investors, which means professional (qualification guidance, see below) and institutional investors, in Switzerland (international investors see below). The product will be held in your bank or brokerage account. Orders should be placed as market orders or with a sufficiently high limit order to ensure fees are covered. The subscription is possible on a monthly basis.
The subscription frequency is monthly with a 3-day notice period. You place the order with your existing bank or broker. Orders coming in before the monthly cut-off at 16:30 on the 15th (or the previous business day should the 15th fall on a holiday), are processed that month. Orders should always be placed as market orders, as the exact value is not known at the time of transaction. If a limit order is selected, it must be sufficiently high to also cover fees.
The subscription period is now open until Aug 25, 2023. During this phase, orders will not be processed yet. Though, investors that subscribe in this phase, will also not face the secondary market trading fees.
As this product is only available for institutional and qualified investors, the ISIN is usually not visible in your bank or brokerage account. Please contact your bank relationship manager, provide them with the termsheet and ask for the ISIN to be activated for you. They will check if you qualify as an investor (see below) and in case of a positive result activate the ISIN for you.
Non-institutional investors can invest if they qualify as professional investors. It is the duty of your bank / broker to identify if you qualify. In most cases, you will be asked to self-report that you have enough net financial assets and / or that you have enough experience and knowledge around the market you want to invest in. Ultimately, investors can ask to opt-out from parts of the investor protection private investors are covered by. This is only advisable if you are absolutely convinced that you can handle the investment risk associated with the relevant investment.
The certificate can be redeemed (sold) through the secondary market. Redemptions are possible on a monthly basis. Further restrictions may apply - for details please consult the term sheet.
Yes, international investors with a bank account in Switzerland / with a Swiss bank are allowed to invest in the product, unless otherwise specified in the term sheet (e.g. not available for U.S. / U.K. persons). However, for the time being, the product is not actively promoted or offered beyond Switzerland.
