aisot’s associate alliance (aaa) is growing. A few weeks after Tiffany K. Ellis has joined aaa, Maria Fariello, currently pursuing her Master studies in Quantitative Economics and Econometrics at Columbia University, and Krunoslav Ivešić, working as Senior Consultant Data Solutions Services at LC Systems with a background in data science and engineering (PhD in Telecommunications), have joined the aaa.

Maria Fariello, BA in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Zurich, is currently enrolled in Columbia University's MA program in Quantitative Economics and Econometrics. One of her academic projects at Columbia is "Finding Alpha", a project that entails the development of a new long short trading strategy for changes in SEC filings using NLP for similarity measures, word count, and filing frequency on 8-K filings as alpha, for US Stock prices from 1993 to 2017, yielding 4% alpha for manufacturing. Maria has an impressive professional background, having worked in M&A at KMU Diamant Consulting AG, in behavioral economics at Fehr Advice & Partners AG or as an analyst at Zugerberg Finanz AG.
Krunoslav Ivešić, PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Zagreb, is currently working in Berne, Switzerland, as a Senior Consultant at LC Systems, developing solutions for various international and domestic clients. Prior to LC Systems, Kruno's professional experience includes engineering and consulting roles at Acceleris AG and Verisign. Prior to this, Kruno was a postdoctoral researcher at EPFL Lausanne focusing on subjects such as "mathematical modelling: from pen & paper to code" or "symbolic calculations with SymPy and Wolfram Mathematica".
